I've been listening to a serious on how successful people think, and i feel most of it i am very good at...there is just this one thing that really struck a chord...the 80/20 rule...spend 80 % of your efforts on this that bear fruit...imedealty, i thought of fruit as money, but that i started thinking about the more tangable things...like painting...i finish a painting in one day usualy...then i have the fruit of my art work to look at and enjoy...my emotions tell me this is good...it is good for me to paint...it is good for me to go out on trash night and find other peoples trash that i can use as art or something in my home for personal use...ie I found a huge kitty tree for Creepy Kitty that she loves and is no longer clawing at the furniture...yay...
I know what things make me feel good when i do them, and that to me is fruit...those things are a multitude though, so how do i know what to focus on with the 80% rule? I love painting, i love photography, i love playing guitar and singing, i love drawing, i love writing...i suppose i put those in order of what i love the most...so that answer should seem as if it is already there...my friends and family respond that most to my painting...and support me most in it...
the money issue of being a painter...this is outweighed by the support i have from family and friends...i simply need to focus on applying for a grant and getting my va paper work in line and applying for unemployment...
education...i have a great desire to attend college for the arts...and eco art holds a high passion in my heart...
As I have to wait for my va grants for school, i must study and pratice on my own or with free groups...or other people who are greater than I am...there is so much I can learn from someone else...or many other people...but where to find them??? art galaries...cutting in on art classes perhaps...sneaky, yes, but a good way to meet people...joining an art club maybe...
Above all, I must not let the feeling that I am getting to old to get into this get in the way of my success...I want to be rich and famous...yes, and i want to acquire this sooner than latter. I can taste it...I just need to chew slow and savor the peice of life i am enjoying at this moment...
I can do this...focus...dedication...mentorship...patients...trust in myself...and support from my lived ones...
Press in, K...you can live your dreams if you will it...just get out of the way...if you ask for it, doors will open, when you get out of that way...It will come to you, It will come to you...It will come to you...Dreams do come true...
